The farmer, 29, who lived in Hill Foot, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, was fatally stabbed throughout her body yesterday by her husband, who thereafter made an attempt on his own life.
Detectives in Regional Division #3 are looking into the death of Alexis Roxanne Harris, also known as “Cullie,” which happened at Free and Easy, West Bank Demerara, at around 12:20 hrs. yesterday, according to a police news release. Police were informed that Harris’s alleged 35-year-old laborer husband, James Lord, had stabbed her.
According to the press statement, investigations showed that Harris had been residing at Hill Foot with James Lord and their kids. But, following a disagreement that occurred roughly two months ago, she claims that her presumed spouse beat her and threatened to murder her. Harris moved to her sister’s house in Free and Easy after this, taking her kids with her.
