Troy Rodrigues, also known as “Kelly,” was a 23-year-old mechanic from Lot 165 Leopold Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown. Troy’s murder happened on Friday at around 19:15 at Vlissengen Square, which is off Vlissengen Road and situated between West Ruimveldt Front Road and Mandela Avenue. The police are looking into the death.
A neighbor claims that he heard two loud explosions that sounded like gunshots when he was in his backyard. When he peered over his fence to see into it, he noticed a man on the road who was still. Then he went out to the road, where Rodrigues was lying in a pool of blood, and saw that a small throng had already formed.
