The US Embassy announced today that US nationals who are employed or reside in Guyana are eligible to vote in the next US presidential election.
The consular staff of the embassy will host a Town Hall on Friday, September 20, at 2:00 pm at the Cara Lodge Hotel, to provide information on how to register and submit an absentee ballot request in order to vote from Guyana.
Those who are interested in attending the Town Hall can use the Google Form at https://forms.gle/RK5fzcJeZikx4i9T6 or email the embassy at VoteGeorgetown@state.gov to express their interest. Individuals can also reach us at 225-4900, ext. 4332 or 4222.
The embassy released a statement saying, “Come out to learn about your voting rights, how to register and request a ballot, and tips to ensure your vote counts – no matter where you are in the world!”
