Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has declared that the state’s nursing schools will reopen in order to implement safer medical and health procedures.
He also revealed that micro and small grants would be used to improve agricultural activity in the state.
At St. Gabriel’s parish in Iorkighir Use Agberagba, Konshisha Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue, he made the call during the thanksgiving service held in his honor by his Jechira intermediate area, “Ityo i Jechira.”
He claims that in order to obtain more knowledge, the schools would be upgraded to degree-granting and higher institutional levels.
He declared that community health organizations would be revived and updated to help hospitals provide timely medical care.
He continued by saying that the government would see to it that qualified residents might enroll in these schools at a cost that was almost free.
He bemoaned the state’s lack of medical facilities, saying that it had resulted in several deaths that could have been prevented.
In order to revitalize the health sector, he urged all global health donors to collaborate with the administration of Benue State.
He advised everyone, but especially women who owned small enterprises or were farmers, to join or create cooperatives in order to take advantage of all the government’s programs.
This, he claimed, would reduce the state’s food insecurity.
Additionally, Governor Alia pledged to advance science and technology within his government.
“Through sponsorship in various trainings and practices, current trends in sciences would be enhanced for the youth in the Jechira axis.”
“We urge the youth to urgently meet with the deputy governor following their service in the Xhiexj promises for additional actions.”
He declared that his administration will not back down from tackling insecurity challenges.
He implored every individual to safeguard their neighborhoods by informing the appropriate authorities of any suspicious activity.
