The 34-year-old sawmill owner from Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara, James Lord, also known as “Jamesy,” appeared before Magistrate Rhondell Weever yesterday to answer to the charge of killing Alexis Roxanne Harris in Free and Easy, West Bank Demerara, on September 8.
Lord was remanded to prison without having to enter a plea.
Harris was allegedly fatally stabbed by Lord, who also allegedly caused injuries to his body. After being admitted to the West Demerara Hospital for a few days, Lord was released, according to Regional Commander Assistant Commissioner Mahendra Siwnarine, who spoke with Stabroek News. At the Wales Police station, he was placed under arrest.
